The third exhibition of APMAP titled researcher’s way takes place in the outdoor spaces of the AMOREPACIFIC R&D Center in Yongin.
The artists who explore the beauty of sense and cognition have been invited to participate as researchers.
Under the theme of “Technology towards New Beauty,” sixteen artist teams created artworks to show both the research processes and outcomes.
The viewers are invited to walk between the works and contemplate the artists’ questions and concepts, starting the meditative journey.

AMOREPACIFIC R&D Center became the backbone for the history of modern Korean cosmetics, which began in Huam-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul with the first research laboratory to be established in the Korean cosmetics industry in 1954. AMOREPACIFIC R&D Center expanded and relocated to Yongin in 1992, L&D Center, MIZIUM, Hyecho House and Pavilion were completed and Yongin campus became the company’s cradle for research and education. Now researcher’s way expends on the R&D Center, which leads beauty and health of human, and beauty of Asia, on the function of its outdoors garden as well as takes it up for public discourse about “Technology towards New Beauty”.
Sixteen artist teams created new, site-specific works in a variety of mediums ranging from sculpture, installation, interactive media, to sound and architecture to show both the research processes and outcomes based on the theme. The viewers are invited to walk between the works and contemplate the artists’ questions and concepts on a meditative journey through direct interaction, joining the researcher’s way.
